My name is Mohamad Faizal Zulkhifli. I am a 31 years old Malaysian who is very enthusiastic in joining humanitarian mission. I am married with 3 children aged 1,4 and 6 years old. I studied medicine in the University of Leeds UK (2006-2011) and came back to Malaysia upon completion of my study to serve the community in Malaysia. After serving as a doctor for seven  years, I am currently pursuing a Master in Emergency Medicine, with a special interest for disaster medicine.

In the past, I have been involved in various humanitarian missions. These include Cambodia Relief Mission (2009), Kelantan flood relief mission (2013), Care for the Rohingya refugee (2016-2017) Penang flood relief mission (2017). I am hopeful that my involvement in this Flotilla mission will provide me with invaluable experience and at the same time help create awareness for the just future for the Palestinian.

QUOTE: I work in the emergency department where I deal with life and death situations on a daily basis. Every death I encountered made me realise the value of life. “Life” of others is given value when people around them acknowledge their existence and respect them as a human being. Unfortunately this is not happening in Palestine. Palestinian people have been treated with disrespect and their basic human rights have been violated on a daily basis. People have been arrested and killed indiscriminately, with a nurse being have been killed in the latest incidents. I do hope this mission will open the eyes of the people around the world to acknowledge what is going on in Palestine…and give the true meaning of “Life” to the Palestinian people.

  1. Dear Faizal, Someone has given me about half a dozen of laryngeal airways expired but still with intact packaging so safe to use. They are light and I can bring them on board to complete your emergency packs. Please let me know what you think
